Student Growth Policy

To promote a balance between our students' pursuit of academic excellence and holistic development, we center our approach on a positive psychology framework. We systematically integrate the six core elements of the PERMAH model to enhance students' well-being and mental health literacy, aiming to transform happiness education from theoretical frameworks into practical life wisdom.

  1. Positive Emotions: Our teaching staff is dedicated to cultivating an optimistic mindset in students. Through curriculum and activity design, we deepen students' emotional awareness, guiding them to experience positive emotions such as joy, gratitude, tranquility, interest, hope, pride, humor, inspiration and love.
  2. Engagement: We offer a diverse range of activities that allow students of varying abilities to fully engage in campus life and showcase their strengths.
  3. Relationships: Through inter-house competitions and uniform groups, students can break through class boundaries and meet peers from different forms. Alumni sharing sessions also help students in their future career choices and in expanding their social networks.
  4. Meaning: We encourage students to actively participate in school activities and community service to build correct values, thereby understanding, appreciating, respecting, and exploring life.
  5. Achievement: In the pursuit of life goals, we nurture students to develop gratitude, a sense of responsibility, perseverance, and diligence. We promote continuous self-reflection to establish a path for self-actualization, enhancing their sense of self-efficacy and ultimately achieving success.
  6. Health: We firmly believe that physical health is the foundation for pursuing happiness. In addition to regular physical education classes, we regularly organize inter-class and inter-house sports competitions, and we also have selection and training for school sports teams.

Discipline Unit

The Discipline Unit focuses on student behavior standards and character development, with responsibilities divided into three main areas: administration, action, and support. In terms of administration, the division assists in the formulation and review of school guidance policies. Regarding action, it handles student guidance matters, organizes preventive and developmental student guidance activities, and helps maintain order during school events. For support, the division aids teachers in managing student cases and provides advice on activities aimed at educating parents.

Student Counselling & Support Unit

The Student Counselling & Support Unit is dedicated to creating a caring and inclusive campus culture. Through organizing leadership training camps, adaptation programs for new students, sex education seminars, and positive psychology activities, we promote students' holistic development and positive interpersonal interactions. Additionally, our school offers personal growth counseling and emotional management support, along with professional assistance for students with special educational needs, fostering a supportive and caring learning environment.

Careers and Life Planning Unit

The Careers and Life Planning Unit implements a four-step career planning process that includes inspiring participation, self-assessment, exploration of diverse pathways, and career management. We organize a variety of seminars, courses, and activities on further education and employment for students and parents at all levels.

Moral, Civic and National Education Unit

The Moral, Civic and National Education Unit is committed to promoting school-wide character education and civic awareness, systematically implementing national education in alignment with the Education Bureau's "National Education Event Planning Calendar." Through various formats such as themed display boards and interactive booth games, we deepen students' understanding of the Constitution and the Basic Law, as well as national security, fostering students' sense of national identity.

Other Learning Experiences (OLE) Coordination Unit

The OLE Coordination Unit organizes an "Other Learning Experiences Day" each year, providing students in all forms with immersive experiential learning opportunities. These experiences include thematic visits, outdoor camping, and exchange programs with mainland China, fully promoting holistic student growth. Meanwhile, students can develop leadership skills and team spirit by participating in Student Union, four houses, and club activities. Currently, there are nearly 50 student clubs covering diverse areas such as academic study, interest development, religious culture, social service, and sports, offering students a wide range of extracurricular development options.
